There are women who do more than rise above adversity; they sustain. Rebuild. Multiply.
Awon did not grow up with stability or certainty. When she was a child, she and her siblings were left behind and raised by substitute parents. What began as abandonment deeply marked her life. But it did not define her.
Over time, what seemed like loss became purpose.
Today, Awon, together with her husband, leads one of the homes supported by The House Project in Nagaland, India. There, she walks alongside children who, like her, have known fragility from a very young age. Children who need more than a roof over their heads: they need guidance, structure, love, and someone who believes in their present and in their future.
Awon’s life was restored, and now she helps restore others.
Under her leadership, the children in the home — rescued from contexts as harsh as opioid cultivation and human trafficking — are growing with academic and emotional strength. Today they study, they dare to dream again, and they prepare to build a different future.
Celebrating Women’s Day is not only about recognizing achievements or needs. It is about committing, together, to breaking down the barriers that prevent more women — and more girls — from rising, fulfilling their dreams, standing strong, and sustaining others.
When we restore a woman, she sustains a family.
When we sustain a family, a community is transformed.
That is multiplication.
Today, we invite you to be part of this chain of restoration and transformation.
Your donation is not just help. It is the opportunity for women like Awon to rise — and with them, many more.
