There are many ways to be a mother: let’s begin by mothering the world.

There are many ways to be a mother: let’s begin by mothering the world.

What would the world look like if everyone had a mother?
How much love would have been planted and multiplied by now?

As much as we would love to spend this Mother’s Month simply celebrating how wonderful mothers are — because they truly are — this time, we want to talk about the immense emptiness left behind when one of them is missing.

Let’s do a small exercise together.

Imagine a child full of dreams and hope. You can give him or her a name in your mind. Ready?

Now imagine that this child has never known a mother’s arms.
Would you lend yours, so they could experience love?

Now let’s think about another reality.

Imagine that the child you were thinking of does have a mother who loves them deeply — with all her heart — but there is very little food at home, and the child is hungry.

Would you give that child breakfast?

These are simple examples, yet deeply real. They reflect the everyday lives of many children and mothers around the world.

More arms are needed.
More warm meals are needed.

Today, we invite you to join us in the possibility of collectively mothering the world together.

Offer your arms whenever someone needs an embrace.
Empathize with mothers facing difficult realities. And help us ensure that fewer children begin their day hungry.

With your support, we can change lives.

Of the many ways to be a mother, let’s mother the world together.
