MIAMI, Florida, August 10, 2026. Today a powerful earthquake centered in Chocó shook several regions of Colombia. The emergency is severe, and families and children are being evacuated from their homes in the affected areas.

The House Project, the Montaner family's nonprofit organization, has been activated since 9:00 a.m. today to support families and children who need shelter, warm clothing, food, water, medicine, and basic supplies.

“When an emergency happens, there's no time to lose. We have to be there, help, and do everything within our power so families know they are not alone.” — said Ricardo
Montaner. For her part, Marlene Rodríguez de Montaner said: “Today Colombia needs us. Solidarity is one of the most important ways to tell someone: I am here. That's why we invite you to help, together”

The response begins today, but we know recovery will take time. We will be present during the emergency and will also support the reconstruction process that follows.
